Giving this a bump just because the post led me to buy a new case. I had the Lanboy in my cart, but chose to get the SLK3700AMB for $65.99 shipped instead (after coupon). What did it for me was the 3 extra 3.5" drive bays.

I got this from Upgrade Source for $87 before shipping. It came out to well over $100 after. Great deal, should have gotten it from good ol Amazon!

And it's an awesome case. My secondary system is going into it.

I bought one when this deal was originally posted. I have to warn that it can cost more than $82 for people like me because I had to buy some cool LEDs and a neat heatsink just because of that Window. In addition to the $82 I payed for this case, I spent another $46 for LEDs and a thermaltake headsink with a cool hard drive activity LED fan on it.

I bought the case. I think I will keep my 300 watt power supply in my system until I get back to my school though since I have to pay for electricity at home. Thanks heiwa j0!

I need to stay away form these forums, and like I need another PC but I couldn't resist so I just ordered one for $81.99 shipped, seems to be a good deal from the research I did.

hmm..that GF4 compatibility thingie is really something to worry about...
who knows what new cards in the future will have probs with that...

my thoughts exactly..I would have all over this if it wasn't for that...I happen to have a GF4...oh well..

I'm going to jump on this, but I'm waiting for Amazon to get me the $30 gift card for signing up for the platinum visa... argh.

Doug

My case is scheduled to ship on the 17th, and it's not getting here till the 21st. Amazon usually does ship it a bit earlier than what they schedule, but two weeks is a bit ridiculous. It even has the "usually ships in 24 hours logo." Heiwa j0!

YaY! I ordered my case sunday night and it got here on tuesday morning, Maybe this is to make up for my extremely late book order =P. Heiwa j0!

350W Supply won't use anymore power than a 300W one. Might even use less, if it's more efficient. The 350W means it *can* supply up to 350W *total* power to your system.

It just gives you a bit more headroom for expansion. I doubt you'd notice any increase in your bills if you did use an extra 50W.

Is that analog SB-15 problem the same with the SLK2600SMG model? It has the same PCI cover and storage pod on the back. What model cards won't work well with this case?

TIA,

Sal

The Lanboy case looks awesome and I'd like to get one if not for that cable problem, I plan on getting a Radeon 9700 Pro. Maybe you could saw a hole in the plastic? 😉

How do you guys tell what is what at amazon? I dont see any reference to any model numbers or manufacturers part #s or anything. Without pictures how do you know whats what?

Same here. I haven't heard anything yet and I want this deal.

This case is great, but i do have some gripes about it. The case is not thumbscrew friendly! The back plastic screw holder prevents me from using my precious thumbscrews. The drive bay cages don't play too well with my finger friendly screws either. The windowless side of the case doesn't open, it's bolted on that side, not a gripe really, just passing on the info. Heiwa j0!

Which part are you talking about? The PCI brackets or the side panel? I use thumbscrews in the panel just fine.
