Directron has the Antec Earthwatts 650w PSU for $59.99 plus shipping. Regular price is $75.99. Newegg is currently $89.99 w/ free shipping (Text).

Seems like a good deal for a decent PSU, and while Directron isn't as popular as Newegg they do have very good ratings @ ResellerRatings.

EA 650 Output:
+5V@25A;
+12V1@18A;
+12V2@18A;
+12V3@25A;

-12V@0.5A;
+5VSB@2.5A;
+3.3V@25A

---------------------------------------

Deal below is dead already, now $83.99:

Is Delta any good?

I just got NewEgg deal on Antec TruePower Trio 650W for $59.99. I think that's built by Seasonic. I wonder which 650W Antec is better.

Looks like Delta-made Earthwatts went el-cheapo on some of the components. Whether it affects performance/reliability or not remains to be seen, as Antec isn't sending any review samples...

But I would venture a guess that it's a bait-and-switch: Get glowing reviews of Seasonic-made PSUs, then switch to the lower cost design/OEM and profit.

That is real lame of them.

A great warranty, great customer service, and very powerful.

IMO, the best psu in it's price/wattage range, period.

Agreed, that's a fantastic deal for a much higher quality PSU.

If you're not convinced, read the review on jonnyguru.com. The parts/circuitry used in the Corsair are much nicer. In fact, I think I'm going to pick one up to replace my Antec True430... :)

To elaborate (hasty post above) the entire Earthwatts line is switching to Delta from Seasonic, or has already been switched. Sad but true. Do not want =(

While I would be somewhat skeptical of the new EarthWatt line until someone reviews it it isn't like Delta is some no name OEM, they are a major maker of industrial PSUs.

The photos posted on the forum linked above show cheaper capacitors.

There are no review samples being sent out.

Wow, $48.99 is a hot deal! I paid $70 + tax for mine at Microcenter, and I thought I was getting a deal then.

Retail places want $99 for the EA500, so getting an EA650 for cheaper seemed like a good deal to me at the time.

Maybe I'll pick up some more. They're almost as cheap as ThermalTake 430W PSUs now (price rose on those).

Fry's has several models of corsair power supplies on sale in today's ad; the 450w is only $45 after rebate.

Delta normally is okay. After Antec's beancounters get done with them... they'll still probably be okay as long as they don't get premature capacitor failures like several years back with Fuhjyyu caps.

AFAIK the True Power Trio 650 is a Seasonic. It does have one problem of keeling over and dying if you pull too much juice from it (instead of tripping a soft OCP that resets after you power cycle it), otherwise it should be a decent unit, especially at $60 shipped. Heck, I would have gotten one, but was already OOS when I found out about it.

From what I understand, the EA650 was always a Delta unit.

Correct, and the EA380 (so far) is always a Seasonic unit. The EA430 and EA500 are Seasonic while EA430D and EA500D are Delta. However, some retailers (Newegg, I'm looking at you :| ) haven't changed their listings.
