Antec? Chieftec?

I'm puzzled by the case manufacturers Antec and Chieftec. They both look alike to me. Are they part of the same company? Is one of them ripping off the others case design? If it is the same company, why are they priced differently? Is one "better" than the other?

No, they are separate companies, but they both buy the same case designs from a company called ChenMing ( think thats right)...

Antec is a reseller. I don't believe they manufacture any of their products, including their flagship TruPower PSU's.

Same case, different powersupply, fans, warranty, ease of warranty (in the case of Antec), etc.

Any reference about who does make the PSUs then? I thought they really did make their own PSUs, and I can't imagine someone supplying them, but nobody else for such an outstanding product...

Channel Well and Herochi has been the two main suppliers for Antec in recent years (it's right on the label), however this is for their non-TruPower PSUs. Not sure who produces these for Antec, but I'll bet anything it's not produced in-house.

The more I try to find out about Cheiftech and Chenming, the more it looks like they may be branches of the same
company in Mainland China, the information ends up looking the same under Cheiftech and Uneec (Chenming)
