Any antec cases similar to the slk3000-b but with a removable mobo tray?

i'd take other brand suggestions. looking for 2x120mm fan with side duct/fan and a removable mobo tray.

Have you looked at the Akasa Eclipse? It has a removeable mobo tray. 2x120's and it has the option of a side intake if you go with a windowed side panel. But it comes with a solid side panel so I'm sure you could cut your own hole for a fan. overcool.com has them for about $115.

oh man, beautiful case. Not sure it's worth double the price of the slk3000 though. Maybe i'll just have to live without a removable tray...

Antec doesn't do mobo trays...

Dealsonic and Newegg have been selling Sky Hawk aluminum cases in the MSR series for low prices. They do have the mobo drawer, but lack other modern conveniences like HD isolation or toolless optical drive mountings, etc. Those things could be modded in if desired. Also check out Beantech at Directron (check with Froogle too). Very much the same as the Kingwin 424 series, which should be on almost anyone's short list, but for fewer $s. Has both drawer and amenities. Sky Hawk and Beantech/Kingwin could both use better cooling, but aluminum is easy to cut... ;)

Antec P160 has a removable mobo tray. It breathes extremely well, and can quite likely get by w/o a fan mount/duct on the side door.

Also, the Lian-Li cases have removeable mobo trays... It was a pleasure to work on them once again, after having to work on a few machines without them. Such aa wonderful feature to haver in a case.

Not all Lian Li mid-towers have removable trays. None of the cases with 120s in the rear do. So if you choose this brand, choose wisely.

seriously, is it some unwritten rule in case making that you can't have a removable tray and 120mm case fans?
weird.

Yeah I had a Lian-Li PC7Plus (Plus being ti had 2x120's) and i don't think it had a removoable mobo tray. The only thing similar would be a Kingwin KT424 but that don't have 120's. Only 80mm's. I had one of those also. Nice case and VERY similar to the Lian-Li's.

Pretty much. They would have to make the whole case a bit wider to accomodate a deeper mobo drawer and that would cost quite a bit more money. You could use an 80-120mm fan adapter to mount a 120 on the outside of the back of the case. I've mounted a 92mm fan the the ouside of the back of my PSU in similar fashion.

This case Froogles at $116 and someone posted it yesterday. It looks a little Plain Jane,

but it has alot to offer. I think the only thing it lacks are rubber HD mounts.

All panels are removable, including the top. There is an aux 3.5" bay that can mount
below the PSU. The MB tray is polished stainless and slids out, 120s front and rear, plus
it's a little wider than a standard ATX case and according to reviews this would help if
WCing were ever considered or thin fans installed over the large round holes in the tray
to cool the mainboard's backside(for OCing only).
They offer an optional side window if one is wanted later. Google some other reviews.
It can be bought State side.
