BTW, this is a really nice case for an excellent price. I hope they get more in stock soon. I'll seriously consider buying these cases exclusively, if they stay at $50 each..

They're both good cases. The 1030 is bigger and has 2 rear exhaust fan locations instead of 1.
I personally like having the door on the 1030 since it's easier to paint the case without having to paint the drive faces.

The only thing i don't like this case is, It doesn't have enough external slot. I have 1 CD ROM, 1 CDRW, 1 Livedrive, 1 zip drive and 1 Floppy drive. There is no way I can all of them into this case. And I really hate to have a USB zip since I like to keep everything together in one place. but the powersupply is very very good since I have owned one and my CPU fan (Golden orb 2 ) make more noise than the powersupply.

I just got my tracking number. Say it was sent from Jax FL. I ordered at 12:10 pm Central time if that is a help to anyone.
It said the box was 27lbs. Man that must be 1 serious case. Can't wait to get it.

Damn! This backorder bug might have bit me too. I ordered about 2:18 PST. Hopefully my order got in on time but it still says "IN PROCESS" as of this post. Waiting on hold for CSR now. Things not looking good.

EDIT: DAMNIT! Talked to the CSR and I missed out. Man, crappy inventory systems like Onvia really piss me off! Maybe we can organize a boycott of them until they fix it. Oh well...forget it.

This is an excellent case but I wish it were quieter then again that was probably my AMD Athlon 650's CPU fan that I was hearing.

Great build quality and I paid $66 something a few months ago, also remember that you're getting a great deal because of the free shipping.

I ordered this case yesterday as well. It sat with In Process for awhile. Then after reading of people on here getting a tracking number on their order I checked mine. Sure enough, I had a tracking number on my order. I clicked on it, took me to UPS page. Showed it being sent from Jacksonville, FL. That was earlier this afternoon. Now when I click on the tracking number, it takes me to UPS page, but it says it can't track this order number! I sure hope this is a problem with the UPS online tracking system and not an indication that I got a false tracking number!!

Looks like we may all be getting these cases after all! They "got more in stock" since Friday (though I suspect that FirstSource had them already and all they did was merge their stock during the consolidation yesterday...). In any case, they are showing 70+ in stock on the site, and when I called about my order (from noon PST on Friday) they said it will be shipping today. Yay! Thanks again Anandtech...

I just called the customer service for ONvia and after waiting 20 minutes, Here is how it went...

me: hi calling to check on my order
Onvia: what is your order number

Onvia: sorry sir, your order will most likely be cancelled since the product is expected sometime next week and we do not process backorders
me: well I see it on your site for $70 now, it seems to me it would be to your benefit to cancel the order and charge me the higher price.

Yep, I got the same thing. However, the guy I spoke to (after over 10 min on hold) was really nice and gave me his name and extention - said to call back tomorrow and he might have more information. I'll post here if/when I know anything.
