Antec Card Guide? What is this?

My new nifty Antec SX830 has this plastic "card guide" inside of it. I have no idea what the heck this is for. Can somene please enlighten me as to what this does, thanx :)

It's for supporting the front ends of full-length expansion cards. However, seeing as it's been ages since I've come across a full-length expansion card, it's pretty useless, so I removed the one from my SX-830

wow, never knew there were cards that could stretch an entire case length, shows what i know :) ill be removing that little thing very soon
Also, there was another piece of plastic in the hard drive cage. I had to remove this in order to push the hard drives all the way back. Why do they bother putting this in there if you just have to take it out? Or did I just do something wrong?

That's likely to be a fan mount for the hard drive cage, that way you can keep your hard drives cooler.

i JUST called antec to find out what that is, it's been bugging me for a long time! (i was hoping it was a clip for a 120mm fan, oh well :()
