Not as good of a deal as the Antec Earthwatts 380W that was on sale for 29.99AR on Newegg last month

No rebates and free shipping makes it not as good of a deal?

It's an ok deal but 350W is a little low, especially for today's and tomorrow's power hogging video cards.
And best deal was the Earthwatts 380w for $5 after rebate in January.

Well, we can remember as many deals as we want, but this one is current.

I have this power supply. Paid the $39.99 regular price @ CC when I was desperate for a PSU and needed one locally. They're good, basic power supplies made by FSP. But they are not suitable for quiet PCs (at least not without having to swap out the fan and void the warranty in the process), do not have PFC, and are not 80%+ efficient. I've seen swapped it out for a Truepower Trio 430W ($9.99AR from Fry's), which is much quieter than even my Earthwatts 380W units ($29.99 OTD from Fry's).

Personally, I wouldn't buy the Antec 350BP for the reasons you stated. But if you're desperate (or you don't have a Fry's nearby or you don't like rebates), you could do a lot worse. They're a whole lot better than cheap, no-name power supplies.

I have used the Antec 500BPU, and it's a very solid power supply with Active PFC. The voltages are steady and very close to spec. The 80mm fan is too loud for my taste, but that's only because it runs constantly at a moderately high speed (with a lot more air flow than it really needs).

The Truepower Trio 430W is currently on sale for $44.99 plus shipping (and tax, if applicable) at Outpost.com. They're also being sold on eBay for less than $30 (presumably from people who bought them at the last Fry's 1-Day sale for $9.99AR).
