I just spent about an hour getting my front firewire port wired to my motherboard. The case doesn't use the standard firefire connector found on most motherboards, but a bunch of loose wires that you have to connect yourself. I tried all the different possible combinations with the wires available (TPA+, TPA-, TPB+, TPB-, VG, VP) only to find the correct one on the last try. The correct configuration was as follows:

Case Wire ---> Motherboard Pin
TPA+ ---> TPA0-
TPA- ---> TPA0+
TPB+ ---> TPB0-
TPB- ---> TPB0+
VG ---> Ground (Any of the 3)
VP ---> 12V+ (Any of the 2)

Now why did Antec wire the + to the -? That's what I'd really like to know. Anyway, just posting this so that anyone else possibly having trouble might find it.

EDIT: I just found from a thread here that the Sonata is also labelled wrong in the same way, which is documented on the Antec website. However, on the same website under the AMG 1080, the wiring is still written wrong, not corrected.

Thanks for sharing clicknext! I have the same case but I haven't bothered to hook up the firewire connectors because I don't have any firewire devices. I will definitely be bookmarking this for when I do need it. Antec's labeling/documentation sucks in general I think, because I remember having a hard time figuring out the other connectors as well (granted, I'm no wiring genius... ;))

I have 3 firewire ports on my current comp (Audigy 2, motherboard, front of case) and no firewire devices. I've never even seen a firewire device.... :confused:

Yeah, they're not as common as USB, but if you've worked with any digital video devices, you probably would have. External hard drives are also commonly firewire.
