Antec 600? WTF was Antec thinking???

hahaha @ the Asus case

It usually works this way: right after a brand gains the blind respect of the mass of idiot consumers, they begin to put out unbecoming garbage. Even Antec's best, the P193, looks OK but they seriously thought it was worth cutting the width 1 inch and putting a huge fan on the side?? ALL of the good CPU coolers are too tall to fit in that case.

Looks like Alienware just had a retarded baby 😀

I think the Antec case would be more appealing if it was in the 29.99~39.99 price range, and remove all that silver shit because it looks like a hi-tech garbage can. Antec pricing this garbage looking case at the $100 price tag clearly shows they think their customers are dumb.

That Asus case is amazing, I laughed for half a minute straight and not even AT it, I just thought it was so awesome I couldn't keep the feeling inside.

I'm definitely going to have to buy it someday. And this one too http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129056

Anyway, when I read the thread title all I could think of was a 1200 cut in half, and by god, that would look 10 times better than what the case actually is.

I could do without the front panel ribbing and when I buy one I will block the side panel fan hole (as I did on my 900) to keep out power supply heated air.

Thermodynamically the blow hole fan is in exactly the correct location. Mounted outside the case it eliminates the 25mm layer of heated air trapped by an internal fan.

That series of cases was designed for quiet operation. They were never known to be good for extreme air cooling. I would love to have its quietness but I know I could never get the thermal performance I want out of it. It's kind of hard to get both unless you get a huge case.

It's not a pretty case, I think they are trying to use a different look for this case. I'd personally get a CM 690 II over either the 600 or the 900.

so its got some clear side panel ugliness, to go with vsk -2000 front end and the skelton style top.

it seems terrible. its like a rice rocket case or something compared to a sophisticated aston martin like a lian li or something.

It's worse in person. We have one at work and it looks like a cheap Antec knockoff in terms of quality. A good many plastic edges are raw, the painted parts are splotchy and it came scratched out of the box (I helped one of the stock guys take it out).

Boo on Antec for making such garbage.

LOL! And here I thought crappy looking plastic and ill fitting parts were the Antec signature look all these years.
