There's a list of power supplies that work well with DFI mobos.

Quite a bit of misinformation in there and that guide was created by someone that knows nothing about power supply operation, design. They especially don?t understand the mislabeling of power supply power ratings. Don?t follow that guide.

Antec PSUs are built like tanks and this 430w unit will be more than enough.

That's true to some extent. The 430's have had issues with blown caps that has been documented on many sites. I just recently had one die that was just past the warranty period. Two caps blew on my supply.

That is a good deal. I would jump on this deal if I haven't bought the Ultra Xfinity 600W PS from Fry's for $49.99 - $40 MIR, it has dual fan and blue light, very nice looking and very heavy. But I dont think it is as good as this antec in term of power and durability.

Does anybody know if this will fit in an Aspire X-Qpack with a NEC 3540A? I'd like to replace the original supply in it but I'm afraid that this, with its 120mm fan, is going to be too bit.

Thanks.

In that ad scan I saw a UPS for a pretty nice deal. I just bought it yesterday for the 129. I am going to go tomorrow and get the rebate and the money back.
Thanks!!!

I think it is sufficient for X2 and SLI setup, maybe limitted to one optical drive and 1 hdd. I know it has plenty of power for the lowend SLI setup.

I believe those are referring to the True power 430 version 1, this is verson 2 built for the ATX 2.0 standards. I'm not sure if there are any issues with the new line but I know my SmartPower 2.0 500 watt is working wonderfully

I picked one of these up on my way to the airport (had to fly out on Sunday). I opened it and found that the 20 pin section of the power connector did not have a lead to going to one of the pin outs. In fact it was an open empty hole in the connector. Is this normal?

I plan on using it with a Chaintech VNF3-250 motherboard. Will this present any problems?

Here is a link to the online store though it is only good for in-store pickup but at least you know that one would be there waiting for you.
