Antec 350watt -12v reads -12.94. WHATS GOING ON. GOOD or BAD??

Basically i am running an Antec sx835 /w included 350watt ps
Inside i have all this
5 80mm antec case fans
cold Cathode
sk-7 with YS TEK 80mm ajustable FAN
8RDA+
9700np
2100+@2400+
40gb hd
DVD
CDRW


IS THIS TOO MUCH FOR MY PS
ALL Other rails run great and look good except for the -12v rail under full load which goes between -12.94 => -13.02 Back and fourth

Should I unhook a fan or two or do they even relate to my -12v rail. Accoding to MBM, and epox monitoring this value is the same. WHAT should i do. Do i need all those fans. Im running at 33C under full load right now. Didnt want to up vcore and have something blow

You would first need to manually check it with a multimeter, I doubt that its actually that high.

Nothing uses the -12V line. There is no load on it, so it moves a bit. it was used in the ISA bus days.

what should i watch when ocing then. Which lines???? Also are you sure nothing uses -12v

No, nothing in today's PCs use the -12v line.

Serial ports used to use it, however all modern motherboards use a integrated voltage converter to create the -12v they need.

Stevewm has it right, the -12v is a leftover from the past, as is the -5v. It's extremely difficult to regulate a zero load voltage, ignore both readings.

No, don't worry about readings for the -v lines at all.

The next ATX spec revision actually calls for the -v lines to be removed.

there fine. You want it to be within 10% +/- of the 5v 12v 3.3v

The ATX spec calls for 5% tolerance- check it out at www.formfactors.org.

really people have said 5-10% and your golden plus the accuracy of the progs is off a bit
