If anyone happens to be interested in a 300watt Athlon approved case, check this one out. It's a ks282 with a pp303x power supply. It has three exposed 5.25" drive bays and four hidden 3.5" bays. It is going for $65 with free shipping and no tax. (except in Washington and Arizona)

Its a good deal no matter what. PP303x power supplies go for $30-$40 by themselves. Jump in on this deal if you need a case for any reason 🙂

This case sucks. I bought it for a overclocking case and modifying it was a real pain in the a$$. it only has three 5 1/4 bay which I filled quickly. All the fan sizes were abnormal, even the Antec fan I bought wouldn't fit correctly. The power supply is nice though. If you're looking for a case just for a simple setup it would be ok, but I would not recommend this case to any one looking to modify it.
 
If your gonna go for the antec case, your better of going for the SX830. Its got the same pwr supply, but the case is MUCH sweeter. I just got one. And its only a little bit more.
 
I've got this case and PS and I LOVE IT. I have the box loaded to the kiln with all 3 5.25 bays full and all the slots in the back full. I really haven't had any problems adding memory or cards. Granted, I'm no case pro, but this thing is hella easier to work with than the one that came with my old P200 system.

Plus, it looks really good too. As far as problems mounting fans...I didn't have any, and this was my first home built system.

As far as the PS goes, I have an intel 550e overcloked to 803, and like I said, all bays and slots full, and 2 case fans. I've even got a scanner and printer on the parallel port and a CF reader on the USB. Also have 2 hard drives. No power problems to speak of.
 
Go with the Antec SX830 - much better case for a little more (about $80 shipped). It has the same power supply but is better built and more spacious.

BTW these Onvia case deals have been posted many times before.
 
Another vote for the SX830. I just received my case today and already have it setup. The case comes with two fans while the KS282 does not.

Onvia is currently sold out of the SX830.
 
I just ordered an Antec SX1030B from Onvia. They just came back in stock earlier today. Also, available is the SX1030. The SX1030B is the black version and the SX1030 is the beige version.

The SX1030 series has 10 total bays; 4x5.25" drives, 2x3.5" ext, and 4x3.5" int.
The SX830 has 8 bays; 3x5.25", 2x3.5" ext, and 3x3.5" int.
 
These cases are "PHAT"... I have ordered several 830's and 1030's in the last month. They are excellent!

And free shipping also... 🙂 Way better than Fry's!
 
I think that's just an error on Antec site. At Onvia's website it says 300W and the reviews I've seen on the web say that it has the 300w psu. I think the 400w psu only comes on the SX1040 listed on the site, because the only differences that I can see, between the sx1030 and the sx1040, on the spec sheet on that page is that the sx1030 has a 300w psu, while the sx1040 has a 400w psu. That's probably what the 30, for 300w, and the 40, for 400w, stand for in their model numbers, the psu type.

wow... kickass... Ya know I traded my Antec PP303X from my KS-188 case (bought for $69.99 at Fry's no less!) for SPI 300w unit with my friend a while back. Although Anand's review seemed to place the SPI unit not at 100% I think the SPI power supply unit was better for me due to the extra auxilary power connector that it has which my motherboard supports. I think I made the right choice.
 
The Antec KS282 w/300 psu can be had for $58 at chaseshop.com, w/free delivery if you become a member (free membership). I know the topic has drifted for the bigger (and better i suppose) versions, if you want a midtower I say this is a good deal...mine has just been shipped and will arrive around thurs or friday next week.
 
I purchased this exact case from onvia. The power supply is good (ran a classic Athlon @1000) and has STANDARD 80mm front and rear fan slots. Do not be afraid to buy this case. Its very sturdy and high quality case if your looking for a mid tower. 3 1/2 inch bays are on a lever locking system so its really easy to install hard drives and such.

If you are only looking for a mid tower, not trying to squeeze a full tower into a mid tower, this is a great case. Great for lan parties. Don't have anything bad to say about it.
 
i will tell you all straight. i have this case.......it is GREAT.......i love it and don't regret buying it a bit. BUT, if you can get the SX1030.......that would be your best bet......but for the price......this is much better.
