Micro Center has one of my fav cases for $50. If you live near a Micro Center and can pick it up I consider this at least a nicely warm deal -- otherwise, yeah, shipping kinda kills it.

Unlike the P180 in the other thread this is an ATX vs MATX and the other major difference between the two is as stark as black and white. 😉

Edit: Also, no pesky rebate involved.

I see what you did there.

At 50 dollars the 300 is a really nice case. The cooling on it is great too due to the perforated front and 5 fan slots (4x120, 1x140)

I have an Antec 300 currently - how would something like this Thermaltake V3 compare? I have a MC local so no need to worry about shipping.

Wow. $30 AR for what looks like a decent case certainly seems reasonable. It'd be best to hear from someone who actually has one. All I can say is that, in general, I have a good opinion of Thermaltake as they are definitely an enthusiast oriented company.

I doubt for $30 that you'll find a case with as many built-in fan bays. I've had more than one case from them from back in the day, and I liked the way they were built. And I've never seen anything from Thermaltake that I thought was crap. Still, you can't escape the fact that this is a true low-end case to begin with.

Otoh, MC has historically had excellent customer service around returns -- at least the one near me has -- as they were always generally pitched to servicing the upper middle class.

It's actually only in the last several years that they've featured their killer prices on sale items and such.

I'd have to say that, personally, I'd spend the extra $20 for the Antec, it's a great case for only $50 imho.

Obviously you've never looked at Tt's watercooling crap, then. 😉

Tt's watercooling crap is the pure definition of crap, junk, or any other derogatory term you can think of.

Their cases, not too bad.
