I'm not sure what the difference is, if any, between the 180 and 182, but I bit on the 182 because I hadn't seen this deal 🙂 The difference for me would've been under $10 b/c of the shipping at Frys.com.

Looks like a very nice case, but two things make me not want to buy it. The ugly gray steel look inside and back, plus the usb/mic/headphone ports are on the outside of the front door.
That's interesting. I wouldn't have bought the p182 if those ports were on the inside. One of the features of the door is that it blocks/reflects/channels noise away from the front of the case. If the door were open when using it, that noise would be pouring out the front.
You're complaining about what the case looks like on the inside and the back. 2 places that few people look at and certainly not for much time. I thought the point of a case was to look good on the outside and perform it's task on the inside. In the case of the p18[02] that task is holding the PC together while being quiet and cool. Mine does that task admirably. My laptop at IDLE is louder than my p182.
So I have to ask, what do you see positive about having those ports behind a door, and why do you need the inside/back of your case to be purty?

I got a P182 from fry's, not sure what this P180 is but the case is very well built, and you can add more fans on the inside. I dislike the power button behind doors had to open it to turn on the machine but otherwise, very quiet case. Oh, it's pretty heavy due to some added steel which is also why it's sturdy.
nyker96: nowadays, the P180 and P182 are the same case but in different color schemes. The 182 was an improved 180 but, from all the reading I've been doing, the 180 received the improvements at leasts 6 months ago (which makes sense, from a manufacturing cost perspective).
Even with shipping, this is still $5 cheaper than newegg, and the rebate isn't as large should something go wrong....

I'm the owner of an original P180. From what I know after looking into wasting some money on a P182 instead of keeping my P180, here are the differences:
P180 is silver, 182 is gun metal in color (P180B is just a black P180)
P182 has revised cable management (this is why I want to buy one, wiring the original P180 is a nightmare, especially the extension required for the ATX 12v line in most PSU's)
The P180 originally had issues with building materials in the door and the side panels. Quick changes in temperature or prolonged exposure to extremes would cause the side panels and doors to warp, leaving a concave "bowing" effect in the door. Antec replaces these defective panels upon request, and this was the major problem with the first P180's. Not a problem for most people, but mine was shipped in February of last year, so super cold temps made my side panels look like salad bowls.
Look up the 182 and the 180 on the egg and look at the pictures inside the case on the mobo tray. You will see holes in the tray for cable routing in the 182. Doesn't look like much of a deal, but if you've tried wiring a vanilla P180, you'll know what a godsend those are.

Because thats how I prefer my cases. I rarely use the usb/mic/headphone inputs in the front and when I do its not for a long time and most of the time my case door is closed. I like a flat/plain look to my case.
Here is a case that I liek and is very much similar to the antec case but the price is significantly higher. If the antec case had a front door like the lian li and was aluminum on the inside, I would definately buy it.
I have a question about this antec case, is the body completely metal? or is it partially plastic like the front panel/door etc.?

well i have the white/silver p180 (just bought it a few weeks back). i have the water cooling holes, fan control in the backs, etc. i'm guessing irontek is right, but YMMV.
I'm also the owner of the original P180B, and I'd love to get the extra cable management stuff along with the raised motherboard tray. I ended up just removing the bottom fan (that drags air across the HDD's and into the PSU) to make room for cables. Now the 4-pin going to the processor doesn't stretch over the video card. The other cables (12-pin ATX, IDE to DVD) are all tied up so it at least looks neat.
I had to take out the HDD cage in the top to make room for a video card, though.
All in all, even the P180B (without the new stuff) is a great case; I got it for about this price, so yeah!

Darkman: The only plastic in the p18[02] is in the panels (both sides and top) and the majority of the front panel. Inside is a full steel case. The "reason" for plastic body panels is they do a multi-layer sandwich of steel and plastic that results in a sonically "dead" panel that reduces noise. Thumping my 1.5" thick desk with my thumb resonates more than the same strike on one of the p180 panels.
That's a nice LL case, but I wouldn't get it due to price and the ports being on top 🙂
