<< Ok, I meant sx1030b, so sue me. The "b" of course just means "black".

The real Antec on Newegg's site doesn't have an Antec sticker on it either, but it is the lighter "Antec black" and does have a black latch. If you follow this link to Buy.com you'll see the same case with the silver latch in what seems to be a darker black.

DavemanUT got it today. It's charcoal black! Looks REALLY nice though, and DAMN does this thing have some room in it!! And this is BY FAR the sturdiest case I have EVER seen!

So it's not the black black with the silver latch on it? Rather the charcoal black with a nearly identical colored charcoal latch?
 
I got it friday, really nice looking case not the black but charcoal. I'm impress with it. All I need now is a motherboard, cpu, memory, video card, sound card, cd-rom burner to put in it. I got all the 3.5 slots filled, thanks to BB.

Got mine today. Charcoal with the charcoal latch. Not a big deal (although the panther on the box on the logo that said "BLACK" got my hopes up a little...) and it's not like I have a whole bunch of black stuff that it needs to match anyway. It's about the same color as my Sony TV which is in my computer room, so I guess it's black enough.

AWESOME CASE! The removable drive cages are sweet, than fan positions/mountings are great and it's sturdy as hell. I'm considering standing on it and taking my picture (and believe me, you don't want me standing on most PC cases.) Very happy with the case and the price.

Got mine today too. Heaviest case I've ever owned...by far. That's not a complaint...these things are sturdy as hell. It makes all my other cases look like junk. This one is also a dark charcoal grey. Not the lighter grey that newegg shows pics of (chieftech), but not the pit of all evil black that I was hoping for either. Awesome case, awesome deal.
 
Tung what are you talking about?? the chieftec is $65 in charcoal or $69 in Ibm black at newegg plus a couple bucks for some real case fans or $49 in ibm black with no ps but with fans, also about 10 days ago for about a week the chieftec 1040 in charcoal with the 420 watt ps was $69.
 
Let's not confuse our colors. I saw pics of some of those newegg cases that were listed as charcoal, and they were grey. Grey. Not dark grey either. Just regular cloudy sky grey. Most peeps would call this Antec case black if they looked at it. It's like a really dark grey to me. Those newegg deals were good, I just couldn't stomach the color.... Add >$20+ shipping to those newegg cases too.
 
Newegg has high shipping. What sucks is when they lower a price a few bucks and then raise the shipping to make up for it.
 
its only mentions 8 bays. shouldnt it be 10 bays?
i picked my SX1040B for $109 shipped from newegg a few days ago 🙂
 
I don't think newegg's shipping is that bad. This case is over 30 lbs. UPS is going to kill you to ship this from anywhere. Shipping to NY from newegg was in the low $20's for me.

$109 shipped for the 1040B? Was that the Cheiftech or the Antec? How much was your shipping? I might have jumped on that deal if I had seen it. What color is your case?
