Nemesis the world will give you whatever you make of it, if all you see is value-less hype and conspiracies then that is all you are going to walk away with.

You are a self-professed proud patriotic american and yet all I see you doing here is looking opportunity in the face and bitching that the maid didn't butter your toast on both sides like you stipulated in your list of requirements.

Be that american you believe yourself to be and carve some f'ing value from this opportunity, stop bitching like you are entitled to have everything your way garnished with some caviar and champagne.

Information that is free is like a lump of clay, it requires effort on your part to mold it into something that you will find value in. Pull up your sleaves and put in some elbow grease, or at the very least sit back and let others (keys) do it for you.

Nothing like looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Information that is free is contaminated by people who gave up moral values for personnel gain . I am not American like you. I hate what this country has become and the youth is a joke. I value the old values were right Vs wrong was much more than a point of LAW. It was a guide to fellowship . All is gone all is lost . You just haven't awoken to the Beast that WE ARE!

Fear nothing and all shall go well. Let them shepard you and the wolvies shall feast .

I disagree, ALL info is contaminated, period, free or otherwise, and I am quite aware of the beast that we are...difference is you can sit back and whine about it (and play the victim of your circumstances) or you can be pro-active and do something with what life gives you. Filter thru the noise and find some signal.

If you are waiting for life to give you uncontaminated info then you can keep waiting, no time in history has this not been the case, nostalgia for days past are just figments of your imagination of a world that never existed.

It is the duty of the older generation to regard the younger generation as morally bankrupt and ethically corrupt...do you think you left a different impression on your elders? And they on theirs?

edit: like any system witholding secrets, you have to be smart and clever in how you go about your cryptographic analysis...input maps to output but you need to be smart about engineering your input and clever about analyzing the output...noise to one person is critical feedback to a cryptologist.

I'm not talking about hacking Nvidia servers in the literal sense, but the system that is Nvidia's headcount has made itself available to your inputs, now what are you going to do with that opportunity? Blunt key hashing? Yeah expect the routine "login denied" response then.

Count me in. Then again I'm very (pleasantly) surprised that this actually caught the boss' attention.

Would be great if Jensen could mention the word 'affordable' somewhere in his reply.

You are surprised Jensen had a prepared speech ready to apply, knowing full well that this kind of question would be asked? I for one wasn't surprised. I saw this kind of thing coming.

I'm sure you do, but Read My Taxes, No New Lips!!

Nvidia.... will...... not..... comment.... on.... unreleased.... products....

Shatner out.

Yeah they do. They just only comment on the things they want to, which is fair enough.

Theres no harm in people asking, they might get an answer.

Lets face it if they wont talk about fermi and they have just EOL'd a load of other stuff then it dosnt leave a lot of other hardware to talk about. How much more do you think we need to know about g92?

I imagine the new cards will be out when they are ready.
Sounds obvious? Well of course it is. ;)

I have IDC I Have. Oh as for the youth . When Mom had to go to work to help pay our way of life . Our children were left behind . You can blame inflation and greed for that.

Lust, gluttonly, greed, envy, pride, etc., they've been around us since the beginning. Where there's power, there's corruption. Bibles were written, governments were formed, corporations were born. We can't point to a single entity today and say "now there's evil; there's our undoing."

Slightly back on topic, nV is a company like many others. They have goals. One is to survive the long haul. Twenty years from now, will nVidia be a page in history? Unless something radically alters our path (like global disaster), we'll continue to advance. Incredible technolgies will be developed specifically to satisfy our senses. Who will deliver that technology?

Too, there have always been doomsayers..

These PR topics never cease to amaze me - it is incredible that the board doesn't bar this Huang fella from giving interviews...

...the amount of sheer BS and bold lies is amazing here.

Priceless topic, that is.

As long as you're continually amazed. That's all that counts. Right? ;)

Jen-Hsun Huang said:
Jen-Hsun Huang, CEO and founder of NVIDIA: The central question is whether computer graphics is maturing or entering a period of rapid innovation. If you believe computer graphics is maturing, then slowing investment and “integration” is the right strategy. But if you believe graphics can still experience revolutionary advancement, then innovation and specialization is the best strategy.

I disagree with his assertion that Mature GPU tech and rapid innovation are somehow mutually exclusive, or that integration is somehow tantamount to stagnation.

There is no denying that what Nvidia is trying to do with the GPU (paradoxically, make it not a gpu and more of a gpu all at the same time) is new and exciting stuff, but it is possible precisely because the industry as a whole has matured, has standards, has wants, and has needs. The days of asking "do you REALLY need a dedicated GPU?" or "Can't I just run this in software?" are so dead and buried that its hard to imagine they even existed. The era of establishing the importance and necessity of a GPU is past, the technology is mature, and this is when developers of GPU technology can take risks and walk down different avenues with the understanding they have gained.

HPC computing using a Fermi is no more or less impressive and potentially beneficial than a GPU math co-processor integrated onto the CPU die.

Sorry, just had to get that out there. Next couple of years are gonna be exciting as hell.

It is out of place in this topic to vent about things you don't like regarding nVidia. Until you own the company they are not required to answer whatever you demand.

Recognize an opportunity for what it is. If you just want to complain there's plenty of time and space on the internet for that too, but this is not that topic!

Kido, you're really confused: I'm not your Mom, you cannot talk to me this way - especially when you obviously don't even have the slightest clue about what I was referring to...

...when you can't grasp something, ask first - didn't your Mom tell you about it...?
It's very easy: you ask me and I'll tell you what's wrong with these fairy tales they tell here.
If you're not interested that's fine too - but save your adhom attacks to your family, please.

Just what the hell is it you are talking about?

FYI: this is A PUBLIC FORUM, not a Bible class or some other, one-way information channel.

If they can't face the music then they should just keep this idiot's (Huang) mouth shut.

Ahh and since we are at it - newsflash: it's a publicly traded company, I could own it.

Recognize an opportunity for what it is

I do: it is an NV-sponsored and -organized (mis)information topic, let's recognize it.

If you just want to complain there's plenty of time and space on the internet for that too, but this is not that topic!

Ehh? Says who? You?
Or is it some sort of a fanclub page, mimicking a forum...?

My points are valid: they openly spread lies about almost every topic they touch. If you have no clue what I'm talking about, ask and I'll lay out my detailed criticism.

Until then I have every right to criticize this pathetic PR gymnastics they are doing to counter their rapid market share loss during the best sales season of the year.

This topic IS ABOUT FEEDBACK - and I don't think OP ever said that only positive feedback is approved...

...or did he?

Thanks guys for the props. More answers will be filling in soon.
T2k is of course entitled to his opinions, lest he continually upsets fellow members here.
If that holds true, then there is that report post feature for us all to use.
If T2k can get his point across in a different manner, then I'm sure you wouldn't be so hard on him. I'd like this thread to NOT turn into a slugfest though. If possible.

I'm neutral when it comes to fanboism and which company I think is "better," but are being extremely dramatic. It's obvious you do not like, want to be a constructive part of, or think you belong in this thread -so why leave a message blatantly attacking the point of this thread and trying to create problems? The "public forum" excuse isn't really valid. That's like saying you're a huge Toyota fan, and you think Honda is lying and undermining Toyota's ability to compete, so you go to a public Honda customer event and try to cause problems with all the Honda customers. Why?

I have an idea. Instead of whining about how the evil Nvidia will steal AMD's lunch and drop code into games to break functionality on radeon cards, why don't you start a thread similar to this one, only with AMD reps? Wouldn't that be much more constructive in trying to accomplish what it really is that you're after?
