The only thing that sounds remotely "interesting" out of that spec sheet, if you will, is the dual core. The only major issue that I have with that is well, it requires an entirely new chipset to work. With AMD's S939 platform, all you need is a chipset compatible with the 90nm CPU's. This means anyone with a 90nm-compatible mobo will be able to run dual core, regardless if its an AGP or PCI-E system. Also, the idea of
2 Prescotts in a single CPU socket makes me cringe. I've read that they will be 145-155w CPUs. Thats just TOO DAMN MUCH for me, especially since AMD's dual core is set to run at 80-90w. Oh, well. I guess we'll just have to see when the benchies start rolling in
