I've been missing out all this time!!!!!!!!!!!!

/furiously goes to re-read the favorites

heh...i had to re-read them all when i discovered it a few months ago. Sometimes the comic is total shit but the tooltip is hilarious

Yeah, I don't care to re-read XKCD comics.. They were already kinda bad. A lot of them seem like, "Well... I have to put out a comic, and I have nothing else but this."

Not one of the better XKCD comics.

Do you need it explained?

See, Apple brags about smaller, lighter products, and their CEO now matches their products. Get it?

I get it. I think it's quite funny. But it's just not one of the better XKCDs I've seen. Do you need that explained?

Edit - I prefer the really geeky ones. My all time favourite is probably little Bobby Tables.

with these and the dinosaur ones, i think i am starting to get it.

the more unfunny it seems, the more hilarious it actually is.

i'm catching on!

I have to agree. I printed that one out, and it's pinned to my desk's hutch back, right above my monitor. 😀
And if I understood anything about programming, I might know more about why it's funny. Sure I get that it is funny, but I don't know anything about '); DROP TABLE ;-- or any of that stuff. I wouldn't even know what programming language it is.

I found today's one about Windows 7 vs Vista to be amusing.🙂

I know next to nothing about programming and I got it. Took me a few minutes until I figured it out and went "OHH!"

I'm guessing "DROP TABLE" is a command to erase or clear a data table out... so the school inputted the the kid's name (which happened to be a command) and it erased all of the student data. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here though. 😛

I know several programming languages (albeit not very well) and very little about databases, but that seems to me to be an SQL command to do just as you said.

It's ok, but I prefer the totally randomly wierd ones, like this: http://xkcd.com/452/ those are the ones that really make me laugh. Most of the love ones kind of drive me nuts and are rarely funny.

I think that's why I like C&H so much, because they are completely random and off the wall most of the time, and why I absolutely loathe Penny Arcade, because PA is just not funny.
