And about the story - i heard about it this morning on the radio, just terrible. There's no justification for this sort of behavior from an adult. He could have just yelled at the kid - scared him a little bit. I mean, I can understand the anger but shooting the kid in the head is absurd.

I MIGHT be sympathetic if an adult punched a 16 year old who hit him with a snowball. Might. Heat of the moment, etc. Still needs to be punished but I might have some level of sympathy because who wouldn't be a little pissed if some little brat hit you in the face?

18 = adult. From what I read, this is attempted homicide with a gun. Gun is likely to be unregistered as well. Wow. Even if the adult is just 18, this person is looking at what...15 to 30 years in the pen? That is if they don't already have that "third strike" or something else on their sheet.

It used to be news when some dumbass kid would go too far in a snowball fight by putting a rock or ice in a snowball. Just frikken sad.
