Another Windows Update Thread

maybe there is an option I missed...

on my boss' personal laptop (compaq v2000z), the option to enable/disable windows update is locked out (and is set to automatic update)...he would like to turn this off, but cannot. he is the only user on the laptop and has administrator rights...

any ideas on this one? hopefully this will be a quick one...TIA...

Is this part of a network? The network admins can lock access to that.

The administrators locked this option for him using a group policy.
