Another "which firewall" as I have McAfee and Norton.

I've been using Norton Systemworks since 2002 and keep upgrading each year with rebates. I have the disks for Norton Personal Firewall 2005 and McAfee's personal firewall plus 2004 v.5.0 one of which I'm thinking of installing. Afterwards I would like to disable both my WinXP Pro firewall and the firewall on my Linksys router.

Right now, like I implied above, I have Norton Systemworks 2005 installed.

Whatever I don't use for myself, I will install in my nephew's computer, so both will be used unless they suck in which case I'll keep looking.

If by "disable ... the firewall on my linksys router" you mean putting your machine in the DMZ, that's a bad idea. NAT on the linksys will take some of the burden off of your machine, and help protect it from even more potential bugs.
