Another weightlifting question

I increased my curl weight and have been experiencing a very sharp pain in the bones of my forearm (I don't know technical names) The pain seems similar to the pain I had when I had shin splints. I have stopped lifting for now, but do you know what the pain is caused from, and what I can do to prevent it? Besides just not lifting.

Your bones are being strained under the load of that weight. Take a smaller jump if possible.. or just do fewer reps/sets at the new weight till your bones get stronger.

Simple enough, thank you

Dude how thick are your arms? Maybe your muscles have come to a point where they can handle a limit greater then your bones. I would be careful though because I heard about a serious weight lifter who was curling like 300 (seriously ripped) and the muscles in his arm tore off the bone and his arm went limp (screamed bloody murder after that).

I just jumped up from 160 to 170. That seriously happened? That's not right.
