Canada is like the baby brother of the United States. It trys to be rebellious to gain more power, but still stays in the shadow and will never stray too far as much as it wants to because it can't survive in the cruel world alone.

*smokes joint* ehhhhhhhhh?

btw, i thought marijuana has been decriminalized? last week a bunch of dudes went and smoked up in front of the police headquarters...

us canucks are liberal mofos...

I've decided I don't care for the Canadian health system. Mrsskoorb knows of somebody now who just got diagnosed with prostate cancer and has to wait until september to have it removed. Why, well because Canada is grossly over worked and its health care system is under staffed. In the US you're screwed if you're poor but I'm not so poor I don't have insurance so frankly if I needed something done and done NOW I'd rather be down here.

Yes, but does Toronto have the huge Fetish/BDSM scene there too?

...

Stop looking at me like that.

I don't know, but Kink is filmed here.

Prostitution is not illegal in Canada? (I know about the double negative.)

Let's see...so Canada is going to attract all the socialists/communists, gays, and dope smokers....now clarify how this is actually bad for the U.S.?

I just found this on the topic of gay marriages. Mixed with the possible decriminalization of marijuana mentioned at the bottom of the article plus the kick-ass health care system (minus the high taxes though... d'oh) it looks like Canada is becoming considerably more appealing to some.

Of course, the good ol' tight-ass US will probably try to browbeat Canada into outlawing gay marriage. Sheesh, they're already trying to put a stop to marijuana decrim. We just need to STFU and let Canada run their country the way they want to.

<---American and not proud of it

Move, I will donate a dollar.

Oh yeah, we're decriminalizing stuff to be 'rebellious'.

Oh right I'm sure Canada is doing so because they are just so more enlightened and the politicians care about their people more.

I never said the U.S. was/is right, nor did I ever say that the U.S. should even be followed. Geez, get over your inferiority complex and then comment please.

Women can walk around topless in public here too... well, in Ontario at least. Not too sure if it's a provincial law or federal law.

They can in NY too, as long as it's not for commercial purposes.
