I just completed my build, first time with Intel! I was looking so forward to it too 🙁
Windows Vista Home-Premium 64-bit
Intel Q6600 - Noctua NH-C12P
BFG 680i SLI -- Flashed to latest BIOS, can't remember what it's called
4GB Mushkin PC2-6400
BFG 8800GT OC with Zalman cooler
Western Digital 640Gb
Corsair HX520
Optiarc SATA DVD/RW

So I finished it yesterday, installed Vista no problem.
I then installed the latest Nforce motherboard drivers from Nvidia's site.
Upon reboot it blue screened after the Microsoft logo and loading bar.
When I enter any of the Safe Modes it BSOD's
When I boot from the CD/DVD it BSOD's

I installed a spare IDE DVD I had and I managed to get into the Vista DVD. During the REPAIR option it stated something about a driver incompatibility.
I figured it was something to do with the Nforce IDE drivers and the part about it "improving" the Serial ATA?
Anyhow, upon FINISH, it rebooted and BSODed again. Now it BSOD's trying to boot from the IDE!

I've called BFG tech, they say it's a failed installation. I'm running a memory diagnostics and so far there are no errors.
I'd really like to believe it was a driver modifying the Serial-ATA and not a failed OS install.
I'm stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
