got an email, no body

subject: Fw:zeroburn,how are you

attaches: target.scr, newissues_law

ran a search, couldn't find anything

anyone ?

I think target.scr would be a screensaver of some sort, most likely. Dunno about it being a virus email.

.scr attachments are known to have Klez in them... don't open that crap.. that should be first nature..

And turn off your preview pane, that way there's a much better chance that your anti-virus will catch the thing as it's being downloaded. If it's set to execute with only a view, it could sting ya. ;)

If it's Klez and it opened automatically (which it will if you aren't patched), you've probably just been infected.

of course i'm not going to open it, i was asking if anyone knew what kind of virus it was.

i leave the preview pane open purposely, with the amount of mail i shift through it's worth it even if i do double my chances of getting infected.
