my grandma was 17(maybe 16 i dont remember for sure) when she became pregnant for the first time (shotgun wedding)... she is currently 89...

I mentioned 'at least'.

Also there was a period around the 40-50's that women started focusing on careers and thus avoided sex/pregnancy...by the late 50's-60's that was changing. By the 70's free-love and all that was popular.

It's mostly always been the popular kids though. Wallflowers tend to think the other kids are just making up stories.

My last company was an international company, and I was on a project in Italy with a guy from Great Britain. We were going somewhere with our Italian host and I said something (don't recall what) and the conversation went like this:

British Guy: "IndyColtsFan, you're not speaking the Queen's English."
ICF (looking at British guy): "The Queen may have invented it, but Americans perfected it."

I'm a 30 year old dude who might meet a 19 year old girl tomorrow. I'm saying over and over to myself something along the lines of, "Can I see your drivers license photo? Your ID picture is an interesting snapshot of your life." It is imperative that I say it with a straight face as I make sure she isn't some 16 year old looking for a thrill. Timing is important, too :hmm:


That is, if she hasn't magically gained 100 pounds since her last photo or is a dude with some nice images. In that case, I'll have no need to say it and will be rather 🙁 for labor day.

Fake ID's are usually better than anything you'd know unless you are in that business.

Push back on the laws that make it a crime.

That said, I have never cared for many <24 year old women even as a teen.
 
Weird, first of all shes cheating which is not normal. Then she is having sex with a student who is underage. So shes insane by now.

The age laws are in place because until we are 18 we cannot think like a rational adult and cannot handle the concequences of our actions.

This is very common. most just don't get caught or little is made of it. I remember bangin a few moms when i was in HS, one was my best friends mom, never got caught so naturally its just one among likely thousands + that happen every day.

eh? what is the magical thing that happens on the day you turn 18 that suddenly makes one "rational" and capable of handling consequences or rash actions? Why is an individual incapable of such things the day before their 18th birthday, or a year before?

and if you think cheating is not normal, then you are a bit naive.

Actually, after 16 years of emergency medicine, it has been my experience that you are not a rational adult until about 27. I do not suggest we make it a sex crime to have sex with anyone under 27, they just aren't rational adults. It is the actual hormonal drives toward procreation that drives one to be irrational.
As I told my daughter, between the ages of 12 and 27 your body is trying to (get you laid) or kill you, it just hasn't decided which.

its just a society thing, likely based on strict beliefs at one time. In some countries, things are far different, but nothing is as natural of a society as say a remote tribe out in some rain forest. i saw on discovery once, two childeren mimicking sex acts while playing outside right in front of mom who watched and chuckled. But here she would be arrested and kids put into counseling while angry crowds yell "not natural" or some such. kinda amusing when you view different societies and compare things.

27, lol. i like how people just pick out a number as if labled facts of reality and move on. I know people in their 40's who are as immature as a 15 yr old.
