It's quite possible something happened to her to exacerbate this type of behavior. I'm sure many would even put money on it.

But barring that, I'd put it squarely on her being human. The same reason men will risk everything for a little action...
 
The local news had showed something like 10 pictures in a slideshow. I seem to remember that every one of the pictures, the teacher was doing the duck lips things.
