Who does your taxes for you guys.

For the first time i did my taxes with H & R block and was shocked how much it cost. 125$ for my three W2 and 115 for single W2 for my mom and nothing big, no house stuff etc.

We used to go to a personal accountant and he charged us 40$ each but he moved to florida.

Dig up the tax thread by CPA for this past winter.

Plenty of suggestions.

If you have a decent HS education and the ability to post here at AT, you should be able to evaluate the S/W options described in the thread.

H & R Block for me. I would have to check my receipt for this last tax season but I believe I was only charged like $55-60.

Jnetty, if you have no itemized deductions, business income or other special circumstances, then you should be able to file yourself, it really is not that difficult to file a Form 1040A.

Keep an eye out for this year's annual CPA's Tax Time Thread. We will have lots of info. Just don't ask us to do your taxes. 😉
