Another T40 noise problem?

Yet another noise problem with my T40 - should be easy to reproduce.

When I put my T40 into standby mode under battery power, it emits noise from the rear left (near where AC adapter plugs in and near the USB2 ports). This noise is a dirrectional, high pitched buzz.

Can anyone confirm this? Thanks 🙂
 
weird. nope, not getting it on this machine. I feel really lucky, after reading everyone else's noise problems. I've had almost 0 problems, except for that slight electrical buzzing from a while back, but that went away after IBM sent me a new AC adapter (both of them were the same, rev01's).
