Another successful ArticCooler install

I installed my 4th ArticCooler this afternoon, on a 933Mhz/CUSL2 system. The install was quick and simple using the tip I posted here previously, and the Prime95 max temperature dropped 5F relative to the Alpha PAL35T/YS Tech 27cfm heatsink/fan that was previously installed.

cool. I got a decent drop with a arcticooler/artic silver compared to a pal6035 on my cusl2... like 2C or so.

It does not, per se, ROCK hard. My PEP66 beats it. IT does perform well, but at a price of nearly $40 shipped, it isn't a great value.

I'm curious what fan you're using with the PEP66. I've replaced 4 PAL35T's with 27cfm ys tech fans with ArtiCoolers, and the ArtiCoolers consistently cool a couple of degrees F better for me. All are with Artic Silver. Is the PEP66 performance normally a bit better than the PAL35T? Just curious.

I paid about $34 for my ArtiCoolers, but I bought several and didn't go for the expensive shipping. Fortunately the handling and shipping cost is per order and not per item.

my pep has always performed about 1-3C(a few degrees F) better than the Pal6035(not the pal35T, but for all purposes roughly the same)..

I had a delta 30CFM fan on my PEP66.

This is not to say that hte Arcticooler is bad... It is a marvelous little heatsink. But one thing I have noticed, that when i disable my fans at night, my alpha's consistently keep the cpu colder than the arcticooler(usually by about 3C difference if all my case fans are turned down).

Oh, And one more reason for the differences in our temps could very be that i'm running a 650E @ 982 @1.85 volts.
