Another stuck in HL2 thread

I'm in the bank with Barney and the other loosers who keep getting in my way and I come upon this room and barney says. "Boy there must be something really good in that room" or something of the sort. Its chock full of turets and a couple hoppers. Anyway I cannot figure out how to turn off the turets and I do not think that these things can be blown up. Looks like there is some soft of switch on the back wall, but I do not think that it does anything. Is there a trick to this room?
 
Thanks, I'll give it a try tommorrow. Takes way to long to load HL2 and its getting late. Sucks to have to ask for help, I should have seen that
