X1950XTX
2GB OCZ Platinum
250GB SATA

I mostly use my computer for gaming and some video encoding, would it be worth it for me to upgrade my curent CPU for a Dual core?

Video Encoding yes, gaming, not really, but will soon be a plus at the very least.
