When I go on the internet instead of (Google.com); I get (search.netbetterresults.com). I need to get rid of this engine. Please Help.

My computer info is:
OS Name Microsoft Windows 7 Professional
Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601
System Model: HP Compaq 6005 PRO MT PC
System Type: x64-based PC

Yes, and you can re-establish your home page. This type of thing happens a lot with freeware download sites. Many times there are checkboxes not readily visible that authorize them to replace your homepage unless you uncheck. Flash does this with Chrome.

There must be unwanted programs in your computer. Find it out and remove it. And then you can go to your browser to remove add-ons and disable unwanted search providers. You still need to restore some browser settings that have been changed by search.netbetterresults.com.
Here are more details on this site: [Link deleted]
Good luck for you.

all above is true and good info . I download and run ccleaner (run on registry as well) and Malwarebytes on every pc I am asked to look at . My wife's friend had 2300 malware prgs , she said her computer was slow . Remove all malware , and let ccleaner do it's thing . Do not install anything other than the freeware version of either prg.

There are programs in our age that install into your browser and put their advertisement. Use AdwCleaner or Kasparsky to get rid of those parasites programs!

Sometimes Adwcleaner or Junkware removal tool will work for this kind of thing. Those tools can be found at Bleepingcomputer.com
