This happened Wednesday but was not going to post until jules posted his heh.
We were taking my daughter to pre-school. we were on a 2 lane road heading north. i was in the left lane (the Right lane had to merge into the left). well a jeep comes flying up passing a few cars and cuts me off. I honk at him and he hangs out the window flipping me off and yelling.
ok no big deal i just laugh at the idiot. well he then slams on the breaks! i was half expecting it and was able to slow down so not even close to hitting him. he then takes off like a bat of hell.
well we come up to the turn i need so i got in the turn lane. as i started passing the jeep he yanked the wheel into my lane. i nearly hit him again! if i hadn't swerved would have. well he pulls in behind me.
I get the green light and turn. he guns it and gets on my bumper. So i had my wife call the Cops. we were near the police station so i said i will make my way there.
well he kept gunning it and nearly rear ending me. i made the turns i needed (3 of them) and he kept on my tail.
well i made one last that was the main road the police station is on. he stopped got out of the jeep and stood there flipping me off and yelling to come fight him. I pulled over next to a cop. about that time the kid seen the cop and jumped back in the jeep and took off. the officer took off and pulled him over about a block away.
I did a quick U-turn and came up behind the cop.
The kid gets out and starts saying he didn't do a thing. well a dog catcher truck pulled up and the guy got out. he said he was behind the kid in the jeep the whole time.
Well the police officer came over to talk to us. he talks to the animal control guy and i. while talking a lady in a car pulled up said she was also behind us and seen the whole thing and was a off duty police dispatch person.
so the cop goes back to the kid and he starts saying we are lieing and getting mouthy so the cop placed him in hand cuffs and put him in the back of the car.
he came back to me. He said he is not placing him under arrest now because he had 2 kids in the car! so i said OK thats fine.
my wife asked the cop if he cared if she sat in my van because my 5 month old was getting fussy. The cop said oh you had kids in the van. when we said yes he said that changes things a lot. NOW the kid was under arrest heh.
The kid had his mother come to pick up the jeep and the mother of the kids he was sitting for was called to pick them up. oh man were they pissed off at him.
so i gave the cop my contact info and he said he would might be in touch but said the prosecutor most likely would. he said he has dealt with the kid a few times in the last year and was tired of it.
