You couldn't get me on a motorcycle without proper protective gear. I peeled the skin off my ankle once when I slid on damp asphalt while playing basketball in Florida. I don't even want to know how bad it would hurt to have it peel off multiple parts of my body in much larger quantities.

the fact that he was riding a 1300cc bike should explain MOST of the situation - i have yet to see anyone riding anything bigger than 1 liter that wasn't a squid, stunter, or both.

600cc is more than enough bike for just about everything but the track, and the bigger bike will still get smoked in the corners unless the rider is up to snuff.

sucks to be him, but i have very little sympathy for riders who don't wear gear. i won't ride unless i'm covered head to toe - no exceptions.

Why did they life flight him? His injuries weren't THAT bad, were they? Unless of course he was way out in the boondocks.

I always see these guys on Honda Goldwings doing stoppies and stuff.
