Glad to see that wink at the end of that statement, as we've never condoned broadcast spamming of chat rooms to try and recruit. It's one thing if you are in a chat room discussing things and it comes up, it's quite another to flood chat rooms with spam. :)

Don't become too complacent.....as BBR has cut almost 30k off our lead in the last few days. Down to 55k now! :(

:(

Have they gained members with lots of WUs, or are they just out-producing us?

Can't we maybe contact some of the smaller teams in SETI and ask them if they want to join their team under TA. They'll still be able to have their teams, now they'll just be part of something greater...

Smoke, Gunr's link from above is from the previous stuff (hehe! :p). At one point, we were 86k ahead of BBR (last week maybe?) according to SETITeam. We are now in the mid 50's and falling as they are outproducing and outrecruiting us. They have gained 30k since our peak just a few weeks ago.

:(

There's a lot of teams in just the top 200 that's got +- 10 members, with a lot of wu!!! If we want to win, something has got to be done. New user are great, but to keep the lead on BBR and even move up a few places we need a lot of wu and the smaller teams joining us would be a great solution, not just for us, but for them as well, don't you think?

I didn't notice the date on the earlier threads. I thought this was currently going on. /whew/

Concerning recruiting, there is nothing wrong with inviting people to join us when they visit our forums but to go out to other teams on their turf and recruit is bad manners in my book.

When we get the occasional interloper recruiting on our forums, we usually give them a hard time ... and rightly so. ;) :)

I've got a few 2.6 P4s that I need to get up and running. Hopefully I can start to get back to the 130 wu/day level that I was at a few months ago. (keeps fingers crossed.....)

I've got an XP2000+ running 24x7 now to help out. Will load Win2KPro once I find my license key to improve the WU times (currently averaging 4.27 hours a WU in Linux). :)

Lead down to under 50k now. They have a member, Turbonium, who has...uh.....went from 200 WU's per day to 2000 per day in the last couple of days. Sorta strange for someone who has 14k WU's to just turn it on like that. Keeping eye on that one. If the guy is legit, we'll have a hard time overcoming that one quickly......

Not to defend him, but remember BnT went from around 100/day to over 1200 in a very short time. Things can change very quickly depending on new jobs etc.

But we will have to find a way to overcome this threat!!!!!!

Let's go TeAm!!!!!!

I guess with quick deployment over LAN's, it could be done. You guys did it over a few weeks, if I recall. He went from 200....200....200.....2000.....2000.....(not exact numbers, but you get the picture). He may be ligit....only he knows for sure at this point.

Gotta give him the benefit of the doubt for the moment, I am sure BBR looked rather strangely at us when we ramped up.

There was the guy looking to install it on a few hundred work machines. 200 quick machines could do 2000 WUs easily :(
