Y'know what... If I hadn't seen this a few other times I wouldn't have posted it. But it popped up in my usual new surfing diet and I decided to post it. The picture is fairly sensational but there is no doubt that these guys are dragging dogs behind boats. Gross.

2. Dogs are animals like cows. And althought this is unnecessarily cruel, and seems to have little point other than being cruel to animals, there are people being abused and tortured all the time. I'm more concerned about them.
3. This isn't in france. It's in a distand territory of france...

Also, it's more useful to use dead and bleeding bait for sharks since it's the blood they smell and are attracted to. There would be absolutely no advantage of dragging a live (and it'd be alive for all of 1 minute) dog behind a boat in order to catch sharks.

I'm calling BS on the Sun's story, which is to be expected, really. I think it'd be more newsworthy if the Sun actually printed something reliable.

Further, I'm sure I seen that photo before and the dog had bitten some hook. Blatantly that dog wasn't dragged through the water by it's mouth otherwise there would have been far more significant damage. Oh, and the dog would be dead.


Finally, I think the OP is a bit of an ass attempting to conjure up racial hatred by use of this article. So they speak French in La Reunion... that's just great. You'll find it's a totally different culture and very different to France. Also, the actions of a few cannot be used to judge an entire culture or nation. By your logic, if the people who had supposedly committed these acts were black, you'd be writing a thread titled "Another reason to hate blacks" which wouldn't go down so well considering it's funny to hate the french but actually racist to hate blacks.
