So apparently they've issued a legal threat against Blue Jeans Cable. The link, however, has the very long and amusing response from the Blue Jeans president -- who is, unfortunately for Monster, a lawyer.

It looks like when you sent this letter, you were operating on the premise that I am not smart enough to see through your deceptions or sophisticated enough to intelligently evaluate your claims; shame on you.

I knew Monster sold crappy overpriced products, but I didn't know that they were using the legal system to extort people. Ugh.


As Baked has pointed out, we already have a nice thread about this going on in Off Topic. I agree that the issue is related to this subforum but I'm glad more people are seeing it in Off Topic.
