I saw a piece about how gun violence and its victims in high-incident Chicago and L.A. help medics train before seeing combat overseas in our wars. So to all those gun naysayers, here is a prime example of why guns, gun violence and its victims have a lot to teach us.

And since it's apparent that we've shaped the world in a way that puts us at perpetual war (thank you military-industrial complex and its cheerleaders in power), we need this kind of out-of-the-box thinking. Why isn't the NRA promoting this?

The program, launched this spring at The John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, gives military medical teams experience dealing with penetrating wounds, inserting IVs in emergencies and other techniques needed in combat areas, the article states.

The trauma training program is one of two that exists in the United States. The other is located at Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center. They serve an unmet need in the Navy, which doesn't have any trauma training facilities in the country.

This is brilliant. Our soldiers should be getting combat experience domestically before they go overseas.

Who in the world do I vote for to keep this going?

oh my gosh it's so nice to see all the things i said 5 years ago coming true and others posting the same things now :)

I think i was one of the very first to point out on here the "two party illusion." Of course i got laughed right out of P&N for saying it :)

When we first went into Afganistan, i said watch for destabilization of nearby countries... then Egypt happened, then i said watch Syria, well we all know how that went down.

my next predictions are, watch Iran and Turnkey...but before that, i think we may get attacked,.. i'm thinking a bio weapon, or something that knocks power out for a large area for a couple of weeks...

Newsflash: you got laughed at for being delusional (and narcissistic) enough to assign yourself credit for being the "first" to come up with something many have known a lot longer than five years on some freakin' online forum. Sheesh.
