Well, maybe with the recent court decision, things will be easier in the future.

States and cities vary, but some of the gun shops around here (Chicago collar counties) have loaner guns, so you don't even have to buy (they are for range use only, they never leave the range).

I think the real problem here is that we breed a lot of psychotic assholes. Let's not blame shit like this on metal and gunpowder, lets blame it on the person who commits the act, and examine exactly why he decided to go shit-bonkers. Or we could ignore the cause, and just focus on the means and end, like so many assholes before us. That's cool, too.

Don't get me wrong here... Having managed to live to a certain age does not automatically mean you deserve a gun. I mean, what exactly have you done? NOT DIED? Wow, what an accomplishment, GIVE THIS MAN A GUN!

Shit, I don't know. All I do know is that I cannot stand people who use this kind of event as a stepping stone for their own dumb political agenda.
