happy-go-lucky: carefree, casual, easy-going, irresponsible, unconcerned, untroubled, nonchalant, blithe, heedless, insouciant, devil-may-care, improvident, light-hearted

Jolly: full of high spirits : joyous : given to conviviality : jovial : expressing, suggesting, or inspiring gaiety : cheerful : extremely pleasant or agreeable

Jolly <> happy-go-lucky

The words don't mean what you think they mean.

pun fail.

well.. ok.. you "fixed" it... but... now its just stupid.

what do you call a poster who is like fleabag?

fleabag.

:hmm:

rancher - a person who owns or works on a ranch.

farm hand - a person who works on a farm, esp. a hired worker; hired hand.

Here, I'll help you out, fleabag.

What do you call a mirthful cow inseminator?

A jolly rancher!

You know what? Fuck it! These distinctions don't matter because it's not about accuracy of the words.. If the explicit dictionary definitions of the words is necessary when making a pun or a joke, or have to take into account all facts and be absolutely correct, then comedy central wouldn't have any comedy shows or stand up because for every joke, there isn't perfect accuracy in it. Jon Stewart, Colbert, Carlin, <insert name of specific comedian>, would have absolutely zero material because nothing they joke about would be "perfectly accurate".

If what I'm saying is confusing you, how about this: You can pick apart any joke and make it not funny. The type of person that usually does that is an unfunny asshole that no one likes.

Predictably, you are missing the most important distinction. The difference between your humor and Comedy Central's is, well, I'll let you guess.

Now, considering the source, that's very funny! And a lovely piece of irony. Congratulations.

The same? From the comments I've read on this forum, most people think the comedians on that channel suck. The only reason they like George Carlin is because he projected the persona of an asshole, regardless of whether or not he actually was one in real life.

lol fleabag comparing himself to a professional comedian.

Ralphie May has more funny in him than fleabag does... and i don't find Ralphie May the least bit funny.

Yes, fleabag, you are absolutely correct. If you wish to use the posters you so often disdain as your measure of funny, then you are just as lame as Comedy Central (or probably even more so). And you are also right about Carlin. The only reason anyone liked him was because he acted like an asshole. There was absolutely nothing funny about his word play or observations on people.

Your post from the nuking the middle east thread is yet another amazing example of unfunny Comedy Central humor. How did you manage two homeruns in one day?

It's very simple..

People not only like parking lots, but want more parking spaces.

People like glass, they make everything that is cool out of glass, including the family jewels.

So how do you convert a region they hate into something they love? Turn it into a glass parking lot!

I try so hard not to hate humanity, but knowing what I know the OP will most likely breed and do so prolifically.
