Not really. I just have too much stuff, and I don't remember what all of it costs, ect. It just wouldn't be worth it.

Well, I got IT this afternoon:D! I don't really have anything to show for myself with it yet. This is a big heavy lens! The lens itself weighs almost seven pounds:Q I'll have to give it a workout this weekend and see what i can do with it.

I haven't had much time to play with it yet, just a few test shots:(

But the reason is because I've been working on my brand new website:D
Props to RossMan who gave this noob *a lot* of help getting started. It's still far, faaaar from done, but I'm getting there. Take a look and tell me what you think so far.

Thanks!:D I still have a lot to do yet. I don't actually have any pictures linked up to it yet, and not all the main pages are complete, but I do a little bit more each day. I think it'll be pretty cool when it's done.

I swear lirion, if there's one member who should be elite, it's you. You haven't actually done much for the community in the way of service, but your threads give every member of this forum tons of entertainment and satisfaction!

It's time for a sig change! :)

Meh, I don't think I really deserve it. I'm not a real community oriented guy. I'm just a bitter sarcastic bastard with lots of photo stuff. But thanks anyway:D

Okay, here's a few I haven't posted on here yet. I've been experimenting with backlighting. With this shot I used the D60 with MP-E 65mm macro lens and my twin flash, but I handheld one of the flash heads behind the fungi for backlighting. In this one I used the same setup, except that I mounted a separate 550EX flash on a tiny tripod I bought just for this purpose, and put it behind and below the flower. My MT-24EX macro twin flash can control other Canon flash units wirelessly so I didn't have to use any cables or anything. In this shot I used my 180mm L f/3.5 macro lens along with a wireless transmitter to control two 550EX flashes, one on my little tripod above and behind the mushrooms, and the other on the ground in front of them. I really like the effect this produces on still subjects. It really makes them come alive so to speak.

Here. This is still reduced quite a bit. I like this shot better, but if you wanted it the other way for a desktop or something I can see what I can do. I don't have a big version of it handy, I'd have to go looking for it, and it might take a while:(

Nice work. It's really fun to see what someone can do, when they REALLY enjoy doing it. I'm impressed.

so is the best you can do 1:1 with all that equipment?
im assuming anything greater than that would not work for bugs cuz you'd prolly scare them off?

No, I can get upwards of 10:1 with the MP-E 65mm macro and all my tubes. Somewhere up there is a test shot of a penny I made. It wasn't cropped at all, and the whole frame was filled by two digits in the date:cool:
