Looks like the medical examiner has been fired. Also looks like he may be suing as well.

Medical examiner in Zimmerman case fired

Bao performed Trayvon Martin's autopsy in February 2012 and offered conflicting testimony at Zimmerman's murder trial in July about how long the 17-year-old Martin could have lived after he was shot during a struggle with the former neighborhood watch leader.
Attorney Willie E. Gary has since been retained by Bao and said he plans to file a lawsuit for wrongful termination, discrimination and job harassment against the Volusia medical examiner's office, Sanford police department and the prosecutors. Gary said Bao contends they "set him up to fail" and that prosecutors didn't properly prepare him to testify in the trial. He expects to file the suit in a week.

Unfortunately it was obvious from the get go that this was nothing more than a reaction by the media and local government to cater to the race brigaiders.


Thankfully after this massive embarrassment it will be quite a long time before we have to deal with another case like this.

I would say it's not his fault that there never was any probable cause based on the evidence and witness statement to justify arresting, detaining in custody, and charging or prosecuting GZ per Florida law or why the case ended in an acquittal for the same reasons.

I'm not sure I have ever loved anything as much as you love that GIF. I doubt the late George Burns ever had occasion, in his 50+ year career, to repeat the same joke as many times as you have.

In all fairness we have no way of knowing why this guy was fired, and it seems quite possible it has nothing to do with the Zimmerman case (where, after all, this guy seemed to be doing his best to help the prosecution in an unwinnable effort). It seems likely to me that his lawyer is spinning this as though he is collateral damage in the failed prosecution as a way of garnering media attention. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not.
