just received a paypal scam, most of the time people would post this in hot deals but knowing some of anandtechers are no life complainers, i decided to post this in here instead, because it's fun to see how idiotic some people can be with trying to scam paypal users off

"PayPal is committed to maintaining a safe environment for its community of

PayPal Email ID PP724"

the first suspicious thing i noticed was that this email was "forwarded" to a bunch of hotmail users, usually a notification from Paypal would just be to a single user and it wouldnt show who it was sent to.

and i looked at the link and it "looked" legit, until i hovered my mouse over the link and it showed a different url, in thise case it showed: www.AccountLogin.v2.net

i feel like i want to find out who it is registered to and spam the hell out of them :]

it's been a while since i got an email scam like this. btw, are these email scams usually just randomly sent out to people or is it actually from users that knows of your paypal email ?
