well i finally passed actaeon one of my seti WU goals i set for myself. Next up is getting in TAs top 500 😉
but in my rush too beat him i think i somehow damaged one of my PCs. I decided 550mhz sucked so i fiddled with overclocking it. The only way was too set the FSB 105. 110, or 115
i set the front side bus on my irongate mobo too 115mhz it ran fine for about 3 hours then crapped out i had crazy mad cooling on it but idunno what happened LOL. I have a theory that the L2 cache is fryed there is discoloration around where the cache is on the slot CPU. It will post at the normal FSB settings but it crashes running the seti disk after a short period of time (i have it set up running the linux seti floppy disk mentioned on this board).
what will this cost me? 2 WUs per day thats what har har!
oh well can any1 say upgrade time
Untill i cook up some crazy upgrade scheme my 2 machines are all thats left in a fleet that started at 5 and is now down too 2.
Azeroth 2100 athlon XP (online YAY! )
Lordaeron P4 northwood 2.2ghz (online YAY! )
Kalimdor 550mhz athlon irongate ( unstable cant produce 1 lousey unit before crashing)
Fart Machine 1200mhz tbird ( windows XP pro makes Setispy crash like mad then seti driver gets screwed up format C: coming! soon!
sisters 750 tbird box ( i build her PC install her software help her with PC problems and what thanks do i get? she uninstalls seti GG sister )
