You think Demonoid is/was elitist? Sure they have invites, but they have over one million members, and most give out invites freely.

You do realize that there are private trackers with only several thousand members and very few have invites.

Before anyone flames me for d/l'ing, I buy/pay for what is good and I support many things. I use d/l'ing as a way to test things before buying so to speak.

Anyways, this summer I got an email sent by some movie company for d/ling Unleashed (yeah, I know, I know; don't d/l, it was a terrible movie, etc, etc) and it got me thinking. I saw myself as a poor lonely college student vs a huge industry out to protect their work (which is not always good, BTW). But then I put myself in their shoes; to them, we (d/l'ers) are a huge entitiy they have to combat and they are the lone company in their case.
