Automatically Trunicate All posts to a certain number of characters or lines, lets say 5000? And then insert a link saying Expand post for the remainder of the message. ? It personally hasnt affected me because I have higth bandwith, but im sure some of the modemers here may be strugling threads with long posts in them, especially If they keep checking it at every update.

Yeah, I did some counts on page size for some of the threads and 100K plus isnt uncommon.. which is about 40 seconds on a 56k modem. Not sure what we can do about it but I will keep that in mind for future fusetalks. Maybe a text only version of the board or something.

I think fuseTalk should convert all pages into 24bit bitmaps and then send them out. That way, modem users will be dissuaded from polluting the forums with their modemness. 😛
