Who will make the playoff between the Nets and Cavs...

New Jersey Nets: 41-40 (owns the tiebreaker)
Clevland Cavaliers: 41-40


New Jersey will play the Celtics at Boston...

Clevland plays the Raptors at Toronto.
 
:| Nets probably. Vince Carter is the epitome of spoiled, selfish athletes. Look at the way the guys is playing now, yet he dogged it in TO purely because of attitude. I know playing with Kidd helps, but I still harbor resentment to his bullying his way out of town. Rob Babcock will be fired this summer (or at least should be).

LeBron won't be happy, but his fire will be fed, and he'll be even more incredible next year if they do shaft themselves.
 
Nets want it more, and have the experienced players to back it up.

I think you'll see NJ take the final spot.
 
Guess all those critics need to shut up who said Carter was washed up and done. Vince Carter is the star that everyone thought he was.

He's playing awesome and have proved people wrong who said he was washed up, however he hasn't proved anyone wrong that said he's a selfish prick who hates to work hard. 😀

On a different note, who would get the 6 seed if Philly wins and Indy loses?

If Philly got the 6 seed, they would play Boston right?

Nonsense. VC re-signed with Toronto with the understandign that the team would build around him. They didn't do that, so it's only fair that he wanted out. Plus, having seen "the interview", I think the spin of him "dogging it" is way, way, way overblown.

Plus, I have lots of respect for him. He went back to finish college in a timely manner and even went to his graduation during the playoffs. Was that selfish? Maybe, but I think he made the right decision.

Disclaimer: Nets fan! 😀

Anyhow... LBJ vs. Shaq/Wade would result in complete destruction and domination. The Cavs are playing horribly, despite what LBJ is doing. To be honest, though, I don't fancy the Nets' chances either, although at least Collins has some experience guarding Shaq (Kristic would get destroyed).

Yes, if Philly got the 6 seed, they would play Boston. If Philly won and Indy lost their last game, it would depend on the tie break for who got the 6th seed. According to the playoff picture at NBA.com, it seems Philadelphia has the upperhand if they have an equal record. According to the stats at the bottom, Indiana is 0-4 against Philly this year.

I have respect for VC in terms of his college graduation, that didn't irk me one bit. However, if you watched Raptors games in the last couple of years, and I even travelled across Canada once to attend a game against the Cavs last year, and he was mailing it in. Seriously, I was a true fan, and I know a lot about the game, and he was dogging it. After seeing that game in person, and many other on TV, I lost interest in the player he once was.

I do agree that the team did a poor job of 'building around him', but as a professional, there is not excuse for not putting forth full effort. Had he continued to play as he did, perhaps Toronto would have gotten something similar in a trade. Eric & Aaron Williams + a gimpy, diseased 'Zo (a shadow of his former self), c'mon. Rob Babcock needs to be dropped off the CN Tower.

It pisses me off to no end that Vince is again playing hard ... Kidd helps, granted, but this is what Toronto fans wanted to see out of him, and he just didn't deliver. As a Nets fan though, I'm sure there were paroxsyms of delight when that trade was announced!
 
I'd rather have the Nets make it.

J. Kidd + V. Carter > L. James come SportsCenter time. Also, the Nets might be able to win at least one game. The Cavs would get swept, seeing as (lately, at least) LeBron is the only one really playing.
 
dont forget Jefferson wants to come back for the playoffs.
Kidd, Jefferson, Carter could make some noise.
also, they can still end up the 7th seed which would be first round against detroit.
 
The Nets own the tiebreak, so even if they both win the next game, the Nets will take the 8th seed and the Cavs get to watch the playoffs from the comfort of their own living rooms.
