WASHINGTON (AP) - The number of U.S. troops wounded in Iraq since the start of the war in March 2003 has surpassed 10,000, the Pentagon said Tuesday in a delayed update of its casualty data.

Of the 10,252 total wounded, the Pentagon said 5,396 were unable to return to duty and 4,856 sustained injuries that were light enough to allow them to resume their duties. The total is normally reported each week, but the Pentagon had not updated the figures since Dec. 22, when the number of wounded stood at 9,981.

The number of U.S. military deaths in Iraq stood at 1,335 on Tuesday, according to the Pentagon.

It should always bother you, regardless of your support.

We did find some WMD, DealMonkey. We found enough Sarin gas to kill 600,000 people, but you dont hear much about that. I wonder why.

We didn't find any WMD. Your information is inaccurate. If we found WMD it would be all over the news and the White House wouldn't say they made an intelligence mistake.

Ummm, because it's not true?!?

Tests Confirm Sarin In Iraqi Artillery Shell http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,120268,00.html

There was also mustard gas found earlier. Why do people think since we didnt find any WMD that they didnt exist? Even Hans Blix will tell you there are still WMD's un-accounted for. Maybe we didnt find the big stockpile that we thought we would, that doesnt mean it didnt exist.

I got a quote for ya... Aimster...

"Well, let me tell you straight up: I've never changed my mind about Iraq. I do believe Saddam Hussein was a threat. I always believed he was a threat." John Kerry.

OOOO here's a good one.... ah yes, a classic.....

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force if necessary to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security. " - John Kerry

I guess Kerry lied also.

Nice article. but those are not stockpiles. Those are shells that Iraq probably used in their war with Iran which they used WMDs.

Who cares about Kerry said...

How much is considered a stockpile to you? How much did bush say was going to be found? What is the difference between old WMD and new WMD? .....

Will you at least concede that it is very well possible that Saddam was in possession of WMD when the war began? How many more links to quotes do you need me to find of other people besides George Bush saying Saddam had WMD and posed a threat?

Two old and crusty shells buried since the Iran-Iraq war do not constitute a threat to the United States. Please don't insult our intelligence Fallenhero.

What point are you trying to make that Saddam was a threat to the United States?

I don't care who said anything. George Bush is the one that ordered the attack on Iraq. You can say a lot of things, but action is stronger than words.

Everyone knows Saddam had WMD. We gave it to him to use on the Iranians.
Hell Saddam might have possibly been in possesion of WMD before the war. So? We invade him because he might have had WMD? Please. Saddam was never a threat to the U.S nor did he have any links to any terrorist organizations. Saddam was a threat to nobody but his own people.

Some MSM for you dude,
Inspector: Iraq had no WMD before invasion
Final report says Saddam had ambitions but no chem or bio arms
Final report: Iraq had no WMDs
Report: No WMD stockpiles in Iraq

Since fox flies with you for credible.... US Officials Knew in May Iraq Possessed No WMD

WMD not found

Dealmonkey, according to you, those shells never existed. Please tell me you are not so ignorant to think that one of those crusty old shells in the hands of a terrorist wouldnt be a threat to the United States. With the amount of gas that was found in that shell, could have killed thousands. Another of those shells could be found tomorrow, you know.

BTW, they werent buried, they were fired on our troops.

Terrorist? Iraq has no terrorist. They do now because everyone is going there to fight. IRAQ had no ties to terrorism.

Your own faux news link says, and I quote:
The [single!] 155-mm shell exploded before it could be rendered inoperable, and two U.S. soldiers were treated for minor exposure to the nerve agent.
I quess I'll now have to completely rethink my opposition to this goddamned dog of a war.
