777 going from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur with 295 on board has gone down in the Ukraine.

Nobody knows anything about what actually has happened, but all they have been doing on the news is talk about how or why/why not it could have been shot down. Nothing like stirring the pot.

Edit: Ukraine interior minister says it was shot down by militants. (according to CNN and Reuters.)

Most likely Russian separatists. Their military minister Igor Strelkov wrote in his blog: "Just shot down An-26... We've warned - do not fly in our sky.

If these idiots really mistook a 777 for AN-26 they are a perfect example of why real military weapons should only be in trained hands.

Hmm shot down by Russians or their separatists?
It's all the same. There are Russian separatists in Ukraine supported by Russia. There are videos in YouTube with modern tanks, self-propelled guns etc with Russian flags in that area. They even do not pretend to be local separatists.

Yeap. Hell, the military minister whose post you quoted is a Russian citizen.

Picked those up at their local police departments I am sure.

The shoulder fired missile systems the separatists are known to have wouldn't have the range to reach a commercial aircraft at altitude. This would have to be an advanced missile system either provided by the Russians or owned by the Ukraine. And I can't see the Ukrainian military shooting down an aircraft over their territory flying in commercial jetways.

My guess - and based on zip, zero, zilch expertise or data - is that the Russians shot it down thinking it may have been an Ukrainian military cargo plane. Because they just did that a few days ago. So the Russians did it, but not realizing it was a commercial flight. However, they will deny and blame 'separatists' and/or spin some crazy narrative otherwise.

Just me talking out my ass, but I just can't see the Ukrainians being aggressive when they are trying to brand themselves as victims of Russian repression.

Just a reminder that conservatives can't stop sucking Putin's dick because he's so 'strong', unlike that Obama guy.

Not the thread for these "sentiments."

Certainly not one on a track like that crossing Ukraine from the west. If this was a missile attack I'd be betting on Russian separatists using a missile system provided by Moscow. Consequently Moscow should be held fully responsible since they caused this fucking mess.

Actually Russian militants have one - Buk missile system (SA-11 Gadfly), up to 18 km. There is a video with a Russian activist confirming they captured Ukrainian Buk (from Jul'13).

Most likely it was a Ukraine missile system trying to get revenge after Russia shot down one of its fighters a few days ago. I see this one being hushed over by Obama and his CIA operatives.

There was a fighter jet shot down about 6 hours before the passenger jet in the same area.

He made this post BEFORE the passenger jet was shot down.

WTFBBQ

Anyways, wow poor Malaysia... This shoot down is going to get messy as I'm quite sure there were a ton of EU citizens on that plane...
